EP: B3nchMarQ – Aspen

The long wait is over as South Africa’s energetic Hip Hop duo, B3nchMarQ unleashes their highly-anticipated EP.

Titled “Aspen”, this project is definitely one that challenges the status quo on the competitive circuit. Aren’t these just exciting times to be alive and witness? Even though they’ve been hyper-active from their days at Ambitiouz Entertainment, Tkay and Pjay have been enjoying enjoying an even bigger resurgent in form since their departure from the foremost imprint.

They’ve gone on to prove that clout and stature with several top-notch releases including “Wayase“ which featured Nigerian rap mogul, Ice Prince, “U.K“, “Highlight”, “Camera Shy“ and a host of others.

Do we even mention the efforts they’ve masterminded with The Wrecking Crew? Yet, B3nchMarQ still seem to pack enough lyrical arsenal that has been in massive demand on features.

They have gone on to unleash such dexterity on monster-hits including Sequel‘s “I Never Quit“, DJ Trix‘ “Dope“ and most recently on DJ Clen‘s “I DO“, as well as pH‘s smashing “Flight Mode“.

Now, you can already imagine what to expect from an entire body of work that “Aspen” EP is. The 8-track project of musical art features no other artists and come to think of it, would there even be an allowance on bars for that to be a possibility?

However, B3nchMarQ recruited the production ingenuity of the prolific IceMan Beatz for the arrangement of “Aspen” EP. There you have it; the stunning instrumentals and doped-out beats would surely merge in a fusion with the lyrical deliveries that will create the buzz and dominate the game for some time to come.

However, it looks like this is not all to expect from B3nchMarQ as we hear the boys are also plotting an album for the clean-up operation after the massacre with the “Aspen” EP.

Can we already begin to celebrate the hangover cure while still enjoying the potency of this latest bout?

The groove is all in supersonic mode at this time and only the most articulate of music fans, pundits and critics would be able to keep up with the pace and roll of B3nchMarQ.
